Bright Balustrading were invited by Bill Eggerking from Eggerking + Co Builders to work on a project at St Mary’s Cathedral College located at the iconic St Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney. The College was founded on the same site as St Mary’s Cathedral and has been continuously operating since the 1820’s. Working on such a historically, architecturally and spiritually significant project was a privilege for the team at Bright Balustrading. The college required disability access handrails to their new disability access ramp and front stairs leading to the entrance to the college.
Bright Balustrading designed, engineered, supplied, fabricated and installed all the required stainless steel handrails. These were designed to meet Building Code of Australia (BCA) and the National Construction Code (NCC) and all relevant Australian Standards (AS) of AS1428 Design for access and mobility whilst adding an element of style to the new space.
